Antonys started on his wick lamp

Today Antony and i spent some time in the shed, he loves his road wick lamps so we started on the one that was not so rusty. first we cleaned up the tank and wick holder he used emery cloth and elbow grease.

i then buffed and polished it for him whilst he wire brushed some bits. we even lit it with the little bit of wick that is left in it.


The lamp has the name Veritas on it more pics will follow on later as we progress

 

I was looking through a Veritas catalogue just yesterday and saw this...

 

Thats great will show him in morning :-)

Chalwyn made similar ones. I have a couple in different colors.

 

Not bad for his age few runs he will need to sand back before a 2nd coat. first time with a rattle can too !

He is making progess but he has two projects on the go atm aswell as changing schools
