The enamel lamp cap collapsed due to impact

I use the torch to heat and soften it, and then the sheet is back corrected

Very pretty lamp and well done on the hood repair! You are braver than I am running that thing on gasoline... On the second photo you see the remains of a yellow warning label which originally stated: "Verwendung von Benzin verboten. Nur für Petroleum". They changed their mind about using gasoline because of safety concerns.

Very beautiful and nice work. It was originally for Benzin but then warned that the use of gasoline/petrol is prohibited. And for petroleum(kerosene) only :).

This post shows an original decal for these war time Px lamps. It means not to use
the lamp in rooms for persons or goods dangerous to fire. It does not forbid the use
    of gas/petrol.
What you are referring to is the decal attached on the Bundeswehr Px to use only paraffin,
coming up in the late 50s, early 60s.

Correct, that label just warned the user not to use it in a "confined" area. Mine is exactly like this one, with a straight vaporizer, no Preston loop. It's dated June 1944.
You did a fine restoration on this lantern, well done!:D/:thumbup:

Well in this case, they haven't forbid the use of 'benzin' in these lanterns yet :).
So with all consenses, is it ok to use gasoline then?

I don't think I've ever seen such a clean, dry small space? ... Totally free from any of the things usually associated with the inside of a fount... No dust even?

When I saw the pictures of the Petromax tank yesterday, I googled for such a endoscope and bought one on Ebay for 23€. I am curious to see pictures of my lamp tanks and the wheel arches of my old Mercedes (or rather not :? ).

Although the endoscope I use is not professional
But in terms of features and price, it’s quite suitable:D/

Well I would have liked it if you ask something before "using".

I do not allow, like it says on my website, to use anything from my website.
Especially for closed groups in a language I can't follow.
    Sorry, to many problems.

There are already "collectors" who have stolen and use my self made avatar. I will not make exceptions so please remove any translation to my website content.

Yes, the part I translated is related to patents, and I will remove it, and I am sorry for that.
But I still want to thank you for sharing relevant information on the web. It really inspired a lot.

I am sorry for your club that it isn't possible.

Now you write patents: there are already people selling lamp patents on DVD on ebay.

I agree respecting the source of information is also an important part of exploring the world of lamp.
