Vapalux /Bialaddin Vapourisers

    I’ve been sorting out some of my spare parts & come across these vapourisers. One is made by Willis & Bates, the other is Aladdin Industries. Am I right in thinking they are the same items suitable for each & either lamp 5D61E109-C3A6-4426-B592-6D651DBE6409.jpeg

    Yes, whatever it says on the box, these were made at the Willis & Bates/Bairstow Bros (1985) Ltd. factory in Halifax and will fit all Vapalux and Bialaddin lamps, lanterns and bowlfires - except, perhaps, the do-nut - but I don't suppose you have one of those. If you have and want to sell it, send me a PM... [-o< :lol:

    Thanks David, I thought the were, just not realised they had different part numbers. You are also right I don’t have a donut, of any brand. So I’ll not be getting in touch just yet :lol:

    They're both Part No. V40 - see the orange box. Whatever numbers are on the white box are probably military ones - they used a different system - see the numbers on military lamp collars which are also different from the civilian ones...
