Talking a mate, via WhatsApp, through his first light up of a Tilley X246 located in several pieces at the back of my garage. Whilst he lit his first, I broke my own PB with 8 of my own. It would have been 9 but for the reappearance of a stress crack in the fount of my Bialaddin 300X. So much for my first soldering attempt, although I do think it has sprung from a different place. Guess I’m in the market for a new 300X fount. Plenty warm enough in here but could hardly hear myself think!
Great light up, a very well lit workshop. I know what you mean about the noise, if I get carried away with playing / testing lamps I often need to turn the radio up. The best solution to this I have found is to fettle up a pile of lanterns with a single long air intake, as they run a bit quieter.
