Hi everyone. I picked up 15 heaters off Facebook. Check out my video below. I'm new to these type of heaters so should there be anything to look out for? What sort of prices should I be looking to sell at Thanks for watching
Welcome, you have just missed the forum rules on evaluations: we do not. Asking prices can be found on any auction site. I miss the end of the video due to motion sickness. But the first three and last two heaters look different. Which doesn't mean anything but only I like the shape. You should check if they are complete and in working order.
Well the nearest three look to be made by Rippingilles. The tall gold-coloured one reminds me of a Tilley Conomatic but I'm guessing there. The cylindrical ones behind that are Aladdin, I think. No idea what the last few might be but look to be the Rippingilles type again. I've no idea what they're worth but I don't think they're particularly desirable - except to those folk who collect '50s stuff. If it's any help, I paid £15 for a NOS Rippingilles Fyrside a good few years back - unlit, in original box with all accessories and paperwork. There was also another one I brought home in exactly the same condition for the same price - might have been a Buflam. Unfortunately I got a speeding ticket on the way back home which added another £60 to the £30 I paid for the two heaters. Such is life...
A quick Google turned up this:- Fyrside Rippingilles paraffin heater. Fully restored in working order. – Bertie&Percy Go Retro (myshopify.com) The price seems a bit optimistic to me but I'm sure Droopy P could get about £500 for it (once he'd ruined it, anyway)... Edit - the tall gold heater isn't a Tilley Conomatic although it does seem familiar in some way. Perhaps you could tell me what it is otherwise I'll be losing sleep...
Hello David, the tall gold coloured heater is an Aladdin and the link below shows relevant information. Aladdin paraffin heaters - Google Search David Shouksmith
