Well, I have seen on a listing this liliput that has been “converted” to electric, fortunately it was a new listing so I contacted the killer to ask to save all the bits he removed and fortunately he found most of the parts. Now the lamp is arrived and unfortunately this guy tried every medieval torture to destroy this lamp. Now I am not sure I can save it but I will try. Photos following. From the listing: Here the lamp arrived home, a real lampicide! He first tried to cut an hole in the tank and he was almost there: He made a little hole and almost completed the circular cut, the brass has been perforated. The rest of the parts, I avoid other comments... Nicola
Ok a first update: I cleaned all the parts and sealed with some lead solder the cutting on tank, as well I soldered the bottom of the valve that was drilled, I think the lead solder should resist the temperature of the valve, anyway eventually I will have it brazed. I straightened and assembled the hood, the inner tubing fortunately still grips to the hood also if that crucial part was cut away. Now the hard part, the eccentric spindle has been damaged by the drilling, generator was cracked. So now I need a new spindle, needle rod and generator. I hope that @Jones the lamp can help me with spindle, needle rod and Coleman generator or if anyone else could be of any help with spare parts or making these parts for me that would be awesome.
