Hi all, This is my example of the 300 CP "Focus 08" lantern, made by Padrós y Soler Ltda, Badalona, Spain. Probably made in the 40 - 50,s. Nice and well built lantern, with interesting features both design wise and burner wise. Not that typical Petromax or Hasag lantern clone made in numbers those years. It has its own very special design , although using some burner parts from the Petromax style lanterns. This came pretty complete and just needed some cleaning. Most Focus 08 I've seen have been in brass, but this has a thick and nice nickel plating finish. This one fired up nicely and the first impression was that it is a very silent lantern. I also used the pre heat torch and experienced what others have expressed, a font depressurizing effect. With so many experienced that on their Focus 08 lantern I think it is a design failure of that pre heater torch. Maybe the solution of that problem can be find in the instruction sheets here ...… https://classicpressurelamps.com/threads/focus-08-lantern.18337/#post-150291 ,in Spanish, that came together with the lantern; but I doubt it. /Conny
