Can anyone help with age etc of this lamp, currently looking to sell and need more info. Looks to have original glass.
Nice looking Optimus there. Looks to be in pretty good condition. I'll estimate it was made in the 1930s judging from its basic looks. Its almost similar to the Petromax 821 in terms of size, age, output and design although the detailed features are different. Not sure if the glass globe is a later replacement or not.
You're a bit off there. This one is from the end of the 60s or start 70s and it is all original. This is from the batch where it is missing the P after the 200. IIRC, it was from a batch for the Swedish military.
Off-guess sometimes. Pretty surprised that the older style 2-screws cap was still in use after the War up till the 60s/70s.
They used the single screw until 1957 (assumption) when most of their line up changed. Then they went back to two screws and kept on with that until they stopped production.
