As header, can someone please let me know the difference in size of the large and small filler caps and is the difference outside diameter only or thread size as well ? Thanks.
Hi Mauser I think I can ask your questions without reaching for the verniers : referred to as the small or sometimes 1 inch and the large or 1.5 inch and they are not interchangeable, and have a different diameter washer.
As a rule larger are earlier but the military kept the larger one for longer (305), so there is some overlap.
