Hi all, does anyone know anything about a wisdom lantern? I can't find anything about it anywhere. It's advertised as not working, it seems to have a primus glass. I'm wondering if it's chinese maybe.

Good find, it looks Indian. Anyway Wisdom is not present in @Mackburner PLC book, so for sure is an interesting find.

    Hi Brian,

well, it’s a 300cp standard lamp of an unknown quality, so if very cheap why not.

But anyway you did good reporting it here.

If you have the means I'd buy it as it looks very interesting to me. I'd guess it's made of plated brass otherwise the rust would have taken hold long ago. Also, it doesn't use the standard Anchor or Prabhat format which puts it above the regular Chinese clone level.

May we ask how much the seller is asking... maybe just a rough kind of suggestion?

In my opinion, that lantern was made in India and the build quality looks poor.

He is asking $99.99 + $30 postage which seems a bit pricey to me
Yes the S in wisdom appears bigger than the other letters which seems a bit rough

I'm inclined to believe that it was made in India.
-guessing from the style, general construction, choice of stamped words, appearance and finish.
