    Tilley FL6 in action,
    Can someone inform me of the correct Tilley mantel, the one I’m using is a generic two tied mantle, just thought it should be brighter image.jpg image.jpg

    The correct mantle is the numbere 191. Base camp in the UK have them.

    Yes, Part No. 191. These are actually slightly smaller than the standard 164 types because the burner on an FL6 is a mere 200cp giving, allegedly, 5000cp (reflected). However, if you're using one of the older 164 untied mantles, you'll be able to tie this to the smaller burner and it should work OK.

    Having said that, your FL6 looks about right from here. Remember, it's a floodlight not a spotlight - you'll have to pay a good bit more for one of those. :)

    The crucial part on an FL6 is the reflector. If it's worn, dirty or tarnished, you're never going to get all of those 5000 reflected cp...
