    Hello.
Stripped down my Tilley FL6 ready to fettle. Looking inside the fuel tank there is a mushroom shaped object about 1&1/4 inch in dia. which is connected to a stem attached to the side. Can you please enlighten me what it is.? My first thoughts that is possibly a pressure release bu it is solid. As I new to pressure lamps fettling I am a bit puzzled. Having said that I was bought up on home lighting by paraffin lamps. Sorry for the poor image.

    Hello,
that is a pressure cell, connected to the pin you can see outside.
It indicates the right pressure when the pin is plane with the top of the little socket outside.
    Regards,
    Steven
