The Anchor lantern I bought is equipped with a rapid heater. Now, I actually got it to work.......once.......and it puts out a dandy flame, but I've been using soft starts since. My question is, where is the proper place to light that rapid burner with a match? Although I got it going once, I can't see anyplace that's really big enough to get a match in there (forgot where I did it the first time) so I thought I'd better ask before trying it again.

Here is a view on a part of an old Bundeswehr instruction for petromax.
Principally the Anchor lamp is the same.
Hold the match accross in front of the small aperture of the rapid.

Preheating time should be about 80 seconds.

Thank you! I should have mentioned that there is an illustration in the booklet that came with the lantern..........BUT............it's about the size of a postage stamp, so even with a magnifying glass it's impossible to make out.
