Coleman 242B 3/1942

This was one that had been on my want list for some time. Then a few months ago I finally stubbled across one. Notice the majority of steel parts including the fount. The correct globe for this would be the straitline Coleman logo, but it came with this green sunrise, so that's what it will live with until the correct one falls in my lap

Very nice. I recently found my first 242, a C from 1948. Nice quiet little lanterns.

Hey, question guys. What funnel do you use to get fuel into the 242C? None of mine fit.

 

@BradB the early funnels work best with the smaller spout.

That's a nice one. War era. Should have plenty of steel parts there.
Unlike in USA, those 242s or in fact, most older Coleman hardly ever turn up here in my area. Or perhaps everyone's keeping them instead of selling.
