Spot the problem!

I promise I’ve had only one beer…

 

Installing a mantle on a thoroughly preheated lantern is quite the skill; but at least we know the meths cup works correctly.

 

Luckily they cool down quickly - in about the time it takes to get out and pour a second beer...

 

If we post enough like this maybe people will think they are too much trouble and prices will go down.

 

Hahaha....... I have to confess, I have done this too.
The only redeeming thing about it is it saves on mantles. However, the light is rather poor.
