    I recently got a lantern I’ve been hunting for for years, Aida 214! Now, I’m not sure how to date it.
    I can’t load pictures right now because I haven’t learned how, yet. I was in the hospital when my wife changed carriers. Long story short.
    Anyway, it’s all brass, heavy, and has the stag (Deer) on the pump handle. I don’t like being so vague but if anyone can help I would appreciate it. I will eventually get pictures!
    Thanks!

    Ahh the 214; isn’t that the one that most of the parts aren’t interchangeable with anything else?

    Pictures aren’t all that tough; hit the “upload a file” button in the middle of the screen below the text you are typing.

    Set the cursor where you want the picture to show up and hit either “full size” or “thumbnail”. Post the reply and you are done.

    Yes, it’s all complete and no stress cracks either! The glass is a replacement but it’s old too.
    Would sure help if I had some idea when she was made.
    I’m going to try and post some pictures when I feel a little better.
    Thanks to all!

    Moin,
    @george ,

    Does your lamp also have a scratch on the bottom of the tank?
    My new old one has a scratch, similar to the old Petromax.
    First estimates according to my inquiry believe in January 1935 with the figures shown here:

    @Dieselross Everything looks the same as on my 214, except the scratch marks. I’m still looking for them! I did find the letter “L” on the bottom. It appears to be struck on the bottom, not scratched. Mine is all brass.
