After buying a Handi Pumpless Iron at an antique auction I posted on here for some very helpful advice. I got a copy of instructions from Redlands Museum and managed to fire it up and iron my shirt. Here's a video for anyone interested: Last week I saw 3 other fuel irons on Ebay: 1. A pressure Iron which I believe may be a Coleman 2. Atomic Pressure Iron 3. Gloria Pumpless Iron. I managed to get them all for $10 each and they are on their way. I will post some photos when I get them.
Great to see it in action! Thanks for taking the time to do all that.. interesting history about the irons.. pumpless spirit irons were certainly made here but when I’m not sure? That view is something else too!! Your cat did look worried when you found out the power was off
Hi David. I didn't know Tilley made them. There is not a lot of information available online about non-American made ones. I have to get a "The Trump" when I can. There is one on Ebay at the moment but it is fairly rusty. If I keep my eye out I should find a nice one. Podbros I am glad you enjoyed my video. I think Bubsie was just thinking "he is such a rubbish actor!" Yes we enjoy the view. The creek in the valley flows to Kondalilla Falls about 600 metres away. How to do Kondalilla Falls
I also enjoyed the view and Tilley irons have a pump and use paraffin/kerosene for fuel, meths/alcohol is used to pre heat them and the link below shows the relevant pages and there are several Tilley irons shown there including a later gas iron. Other Tilley Pressure Product
