My First Tilley X246B running :)

Hello all

I've got a nice Tilley X246B pressure lamp from August 1972.

First running in bathroom : no leak, easy to light.
Second running in our livingroom : no problem.

My question is : does it run nice as i use Kerozene (QLIMA Kristal Petrol) with original 164X mantle ?

Wow thats great to see, well done another Tilley lives on.

 

I guarantee that won't be the last lantern you collect! These darned things have a habit of multiplying!

I had no issues with both Qlima Extra or Kristal in in Tilley, Bialaddin or Vapalux lanterns with non-original mantles from tilleylampsandstoves.com
However, I have not used the Qlima fuel in combination with Tilley 246X mantles.

I agree, QLIMA Pure / Krystal kerosen used for petrol heater work like a charm on petrol based lamp :

1) Tried on classic storm lantern FeuerHand 276 Baby Special : very good.
2) On Aladdin 21, 23 and Maxbrite : perfect.
3) On Tilley X246 and Petromax 829/500 : perfect.

QLIMA Fuel work like a charm on original X164 Tilley's mantles.

And no smell especially Krystal kerosene is better on this point.
