I have recently bought some previously owned Coleman's dual fuel 282,285 .
When I was emptying one of them the factory liner came out in very crispy ribbons .
I know this has been talked about here before but how do I get the factory liner out so I can use some por15 .

Marten I have always used acetone and some BBs to remove those factory liners. I personally wouldn't worry about adding another liner after.

Thanks for the reply ,I thought BBs and acetone would be the answer ,as I've never had to do it before I just needed a little confirmation .
    Thanks marten :content:

If it's the reddish colored coating, denatured alcohol (meths to you) will take it out. If the fount is not leaking there is no need for POR15 unless you're just into spending money and risking making the lantern inoperable. It the fount is leaking there is no need for POR15 and you need to replace the fount. If there is one pinhole caused by rust there are many more just waiting to come through. On a lantern as common as the ones you mention just get a replacement fount. Post a WTB ad on the classifieds in the Coleman Collector's Forum and you'll get more than you can use. Even with shipping to the UK it's worth getting rid of an unsafe fount.
