Was tested positive for the rona today even after taking all necessary precautions (masking sanitising etc) The light should make us feel better.
Best wishes to you from Bonnie Scotland Andrew (and what a fine Scottish name that is!), hope things don’t get too bad for you and that you make a full and speedy recovery.
Hang in there both of you! For most the symptoms are not serious but do be kind to yourselves, take it easy and most importantly take time to recover fully. No rushing back to work! Everything crossed for you over here Chris
That's a pretty lantern. Sorry to hear about the test. I hope you're not getting the complications of the infection. I've not even got my first jab yet. Pretty slow over here.
Sorry to hear you have the rona i to had it almost a year ago now and still cant smell and taste is horrible but i will shine the light for you aswell
@Andrew T Sorry to hear about you catching the Rona. Hope you get over it quickly. Keep playing with your lamps coz it’ll help. Cheers Pete
Thank you. Mostly over it now. Strange thing is I have found out that the usually extremely bad tasting methylated spirits now has a sweet taste with no bitter aftertaste even. Don’t worry I don’t make a habit of drinking it. Purely scientific research ( no actual drinking took place)
@Andrew T You’ll know that you’re better when you grab for the Jack Daniels bottle and not the methylated spirits bottle ......
Are you sure it is the Covid ? I used to not like the smell of meths and now I often smell it and think - "smells nice - perhaps I should just try a bit... " I am sure that would not end well. Is it familarity I wonder ?
Really sorry to hear that @Andrew T Wishing you all the best for a full recovery It does sound like you have some symptoms of what is being termed “Long Covid”
If tastes good in the lips and tongue, curiosity might some day get the better of you. You know what methanol's gonna lead to, I hope.
Yes fortunately. Methylated spirits is ethanol with some methanol and colour and some foul taste additives to supposedly make it un-drinkable. It does however not stop some from doing so.
