hello all here is my last discovery Not yet cleaned, but it seems complet In fact, I have 2 lamps but the second has come without glass and shade. I will keep it for spares or I will sell it is a huge 2 mantles hollow wire Bré lamp (height around 60 cm, lampshade diameter 35 cm) The steel enameled is a little rusty at some places but still in relatively good shape The burner is classic (for a Bré) but with four intake air tubes instead of 3 usually and the coil makes 2 rounds instead of one. I think it is a 800 CP (2 x 400) but not sure because I have no documents All help or advice is welcome.
Congrats Michel to a great find ! The burner looks like the other Bre burners I´ve seen but this seems to have a loop generator as on my Lilor donut. /Conny
Thanks Conny yes they are cousins lamps, I am more and more convinced I am thinking to try this lamp, but i have not the great pressure fount I remember that you had found a solution how did you ?
Hi Michel, Any pressurized tank/fount would do the job once you have the right connections from tank to the hw lamp you want to light. I have an original big 15/25 litre Lilor tank but that is not the one you would have for a hw lamp try. I had a spare Unic No. 9 tank I could use that needs an exterior pump, but a tank/fount with an integrated pump would perhaps be more useful and easy to handle. I hope you can light this nice Bre twin mantle lamp! /Conny
Yes, this kind of tank will do the job, thank you I am going to find that. During this very windy and cold weather, I have cleaned and dismanteled the burner I had a little thinning for the picture
