This is my latest purchase a Rolex 400cp.
I have bought it just as the seller found it ,I have taken the glass out for the pictures, it had a 'eye brand' fitted .
I have taken the pictures before any cleaning albeit the little across the the top of the vapouriser so the name was readable and a little wire brush across the inner hood where it says original .
There is nothing I can see at the moment that might suggest a manufactors date ?
The hood that got squashed in transit? has some engraving under the corrosion I can't make out what it says at the moment.
The jet has 350cp stamped into it so I assume it has been replaced at some time ,on another part of the jet it has stamped 'h a' .
I believe the controll wheel is a fibre one and has started to delaminate, any ideas in how to preserve it?
Oh and it needs a glass ,I'm guessing I've got more chance of finding hens teeth than the original glass .
    Keep smiling IMG_20210823_142049.jpg IMG_20210823_142049.jpg IMG_20210823_142114.jpg IMG_20210823_142212.jpg IMG_20210823_142509.jpg IMG_20210823_143151.jpg IMG_20210823_142521.jpg IMG_20210823_143215.jpg

I had a look through some of them so I could get a idea of what the lamps are like

Thanks Jeff, I'm hoping that under the all crud is some nice shiny chrome ,the tank itself should be good as that is all brass ,guess I'll find out when I do a pressure test

Sure it's a lovely lamp but does it have a sweep second hand... and how on Earth do you know what time it is?
