    Hi,
yesterday evening, we used the only sunny day this week, to have a BBQ at our local "paradise beach" with some friends, and lanterns. The beach is a strip of fine sand at river Rhine near Düsseldorf harbour.
After BBQ some sports, frisbee. While others nearby did beach volleyball or acrobatics on slackline. We saw a beautiful sunset and enjoyed grilled Marshmellows. But then the mosquitos came in hundreds. Almost as bad as in Sweden vacation...
So we left the beach, before i took picture of the Petromax 250 lighting the site and path. But you see the FH276 lantern with citronella pot on top in pic. (didn't impress the mosquitos)
    Nonetheless a very nice evening.

Looks a good place to be despite the mosquitos.

I just love the way you guys fly when you’re at the beach (see the person with the red shorts in the first photo).
Does he just hover around?
    Cheers
    Pete

Can you elaborate on the storm lantern?

It has the appearance of a Feuerhand Sturmkappe, then again the top seems to be too large for a sturmkappe model.

Can you buy citronella lamp oil there? I use it in tiki torches around the perimeter of where I want to avoid mosquitos. It's not 100% but it's effective.

never use Citronella Lamp oil in (!) the lantern. any additives will gradually block the wick.
put the citronella oil only in the vapourizer bowl on top of the lantern.

No man, not in the lanterns. Burn citronella infused kerosene in tiki torches. 5-10 of them around your area really help.

I’ve used it in the small wick lanterns. The “1” inch wicks do tend to gum up faster than the smaller ones.
You could blend it in one of the pressure kerosene lanterns along with the kerosene but I don’t know how effective it would be. I would not do it in a pressure gasoline/camp fuel lantern, you run a risk of gumming up the generator.
