    Now I have seen a lot of strange things when people try to sell a Tilley lamp, but this does truly take the cake.
    Can anyone turn on the control cock valve for me?
    I mean a hurricane lantern globe come on, I believe there was this thing that has seemed to have disappeared it's called common sense, the problem is its not that common anymore.
    What do you think of the photo?
    Please do tell.

    Is it just me or has the world gone bonkers?

    Maybe they heard that lamps sell for more with glass in them. :D/

    The good thing is that this one doesn’t come with a light bulb.

    There was another example from the same "stable" last month on ebay. A PL53 with a Guardsman hat and a similar "globe"

    Yes I did see that lamp, but at least you could light that one.
    I would like to see the procedure for lighting this one, hmm where to start?

    @Jean J
    Okay I will try well first the fount has a big dent at the pump, you can see its sucked in.

    Second the fount cannot be polished up as its too far gone.

    Third the burner head which you cannot see is also beyond repair.

    Forth the hood is in very bad shape as the top has so much rust in it and needs a rubbish bin, but to hide this fact they have just spray painted it.

    Last but not least you can have this magnificent bargain lamp for a special price of only, or as they say on TV for just $77AUD.

    How did I do?
