Thanks for the extra photo of the shade/globe ring. That is quite an ornate stamping which I suppose would have given it extra strength, as well as looking good. I am guessing it is for a 4" globe base.

The valve wheel on mine is a home made replacement. When I found it there was nothing fitted at all. It would have originally had a valve wheel as shown on Neil's lamp. This I believe is an AGM part, or identical to an AGM part.

Om Terry Marsh's website the third lamp down on the AGM lamp page has the same fitting arrangement at the burner end of the tube. Otherwise different.

There are also quite a number of AGM Hollow Wire lamps which also utilize the same shade ring per Neil’s book. So chances to find an original for your lamp are probably good now you know what to look for.
I can give you more accurate dimensions if you would like?

Is it possible you could measure the length of the swan neck tube so that I can compare with mine?

It's not an exact measurement, but it's pretty close to 10".

Good to know about the AGM hollow wire shade ring. I'll have to keep an eye out for one.

 

The Shade rings were a common item used on a lot of town gas lights in times past also.
