At last I’ve found an Optimus 930

I’ve been looking for one for a while and recently found this one in a local auction. Unfortunately it had no globe but thanks to a very kind CPL member I now have a globe and some mantles. I intend cleaning it up a bit then will try to get it lit (with a little help from my husband of course) so any tips on ‘how to......’ will be welcomed.

Hello Jean, it's in decent nick and I would start with a pressure test, pump it up and submerge it in water and after that a complete strip down and a clean.
If the pricker is still intact then be very careful with it, I would also give the tank a good clean out.
The seals and washers may need to be replaced and an overhaul of the pump's NRV/non return valve will probably be needed.

A scrub-up and a check of seals and you should be good to go
