Hello all, I was wondering when using a Ceramic shade on any table lamp, do I leave the shade on for the pre-burn?
If not when do I put the shade on? As I don't want to crack the shade as we know the gallery gets very hot, and cold on hot is a very bad combination I believe it will crack or even worse break completely.
I look forward to hearing what the correct process is, I know there are plenty of people that will know the answer, so thank you in advance.

When lighting my Challow I preheat 3 or 4 times. Not for the vapouriser but to preheat the enamel. First heat is with only one of the 2 wicks in the preheater

I preheat the lamp with the shade fitted, fitting a cold shade to a hot lamp is a bad idea.
