Recently i could buy this canadian Coleman 355 incl it's tin carrying box. Lantern and box were in quite nice condition. Had to swap the generator as the gen with tip "C" cause a flame halo around the mantle. Now fitted tip "6" gen which was shared from a fellow collector. Now it runs nice and bright with a fargo mantle fitted. This lanter was bought from tripple frustration. 1st wanted to travel with family for holidays to canada, which failed due to covid in 2019 and 2020. 2nd wanted to buy a canada 355 from fellow collector in which the shipment failed. Grrr. So this lanter and case was kind of compensation for all the bad luck before.
Hi Ed, you are absolutely right. Its my typo. Regrettably i can't edit. This forum doesn't have that feature. Maybe a mod can correct posting subject and text to coleman model "335". Thanks.
Pretty reliable Canadian runner. Congrats on getting it working. Now you need one of other reliable Canadian runners: all red 200, nickel with red 200, or a green 321.
@newfie I read that the 321 have (unreliable) rubber seal at the control wheel shaft, instead of graphite packing.
@bp4willi that is true. There are two o-rings that could fail over time but are easily replaced with viton o-rings. The size 009 is the one on the valve wheel shaft. The size 007 is in the fuel/air assembly in the tank. The smaller 222 series lanterns use a size 005 in the tank but the valve wheel shaft is the same 009. It's an easy 15 minute repair.
