This is an early US-made Gloria Table Lamp, listed in Neil McRae's Pressure Lamp Catalogue as Model C. It was found in rural Victoria (Australia). A bicycle valve was soldered to the air screw. Testing As found Fettling the burner The burner was completely packed with mud wasp nests through every part, including the burner tubes. It was a matter of first soaking the burner in water, then carefully disassembling the burner (with much heat and penetrating oil), and poking out all the mud and insect carcassses. The generator spent a few hours in acetone in the ultrasonic cleaner. I cleared the jet, then I removed the packing, and repacked the generator, putting brass mesh at the top and bottom of the new packing. I replaced the rusted mesh in the burner caps with stainless steel. The next hardest task was cleaning the palting. The lamp had been sitting somewhere where it was covered in birdsh!t and dust. Despite this, the lamp came up pretty well. This is an exceptionally good lamp, and it's over 100 years old . Cheers Tony
