I didn't want to give it a try with the genuine glass, I have had many difficulties to find out the good one. This is a big gasoline lady of 80 cm height and 4/500 CP of power. Thank you Michel. I have many long mantles and need some more accessory to hold the mantle for my lamp. I forgot taking a photo and will do it tomorrow. Anyway there is 3 pins on the nozzle.
Hi classic mounting on this Unic 6 You have two solutions : 1/you find a steel Unic mantle holder (see my picture with the mantle) 2/you cut the 3 pins and you make a groove in the brass so as to be able to tighten a sleeve Obviously if you want to leave the lamp in its original configuration, it's not a good solution here is a groove on a Lilor mantle holder, in order to use in place of the ceramic holder which is difficult to find A third solution could be that I have a look at my old spares perhaps could I find either a mantle holder or an old burner part you could groove without scruple
Why not turn a brass rod to a circle to sit above the pins? The body would hold the circular shape to the mantle and the ring wouldn’t let the mantle fall down.
Here's what I can offer you I don't have an original steel mantle holder but this brass ejector has the same threads as the original part below, and it can be grooved This would allow you not to destroy the original ejector You will notice that the groove must be made at the bottom of the ejector If you are interested, send me an email
So in stead of the pins or at the same position, a groove is needed to tie the mantle on / in. Any steel ring with a rim to hold the mantle and three opening for the pins will do the job too.
