This fine looking kersoene table lamp is very well made and heavy. From the style of the burner I estimate it was made around 1910 to 1920 but its condition is good enough for it to have been made last week. There are no markings anywhere on the lamp or burner so I have no idea who made it. We have not found a patent for the burner. The hanging ring is sort of like AGM or Gloria but we have a good range of catalogues from those companies and nothng like this is featured. The only other possibility is perhaps Pitner who did make solid well engineered lamps with that cover over the filler Etc.
Hello Neil, I reckon that this is a later model Pitner, but that is just a guess, perhaps some paperwork will turn up, Jeff.
It is now? OK I hear what you say but can you show me proof please. If you have information on this lamp then you have info I have never seen and this lamp has been a mystery for years. ::Neil::
