My r55 still needing a wire gaurd. I'm using it to dry my shed after a summer storm a couple of years ago .
Working well. Julian D Shaw does sell new made stainless guards if you want to short cut that want list...
I need one for my pig heater and bowlfire aswell ,but as I have a few projects on the go I'm in no rush, but I will take them when the opportunity presents itself .
Ah - apparently Lidl make a fruit bowl that works on the Bowlfire Bialaddin Bowlfire guards from Lidl...
Hahaha yes I had seen some past comments suggesting that sell them, only every time I go there they don't seem to have any
My Kayen is doing sterling work in the garage and am quite impressed by the amount of heat these pressure heaters give out.
@podbros that is running on the steel mantle ,it worked without fault those couple of days. Now the brickwork has been repointed I shouldn't have any disasters like that again. @Walkop i haven't had the pleasure of having any kayen yet but I know the r55 really punches the heat out . @JEFF JOHNSON I also had a couple of my anchor lamps working that day to dry the shed ,jeez it was like a sauna in there that day. the Coleman's didn't like it so much as the dust in the atmosphere was shredding the mantles.
Aha - glad you said that about the colman dust/mantle thing. I have observed the same and told myself that I was wrong ! cheers Chris
@Buggerlugs Thanks I'm really happy with how it works , I do have some paint to revamp it completely but I can't make my mind wether to paint or not @Fireexit1 When that first happened I was sweeping all the dust out of the shed and I had a total what the £#_&&£ moment thinking I had bought a load of bad mantles .when it happened again I could only put it down to the dust being sucked up through the sir tube and out into the mantles .
Well if it was mine I would say respray it, but most of the forum would say leave it, in the end it's your lamp, the decision is yours and yours alone good luck mate.
