    First 100 had numerous stress cracks in the fount, then a Coleman 327 fount to be used as a frankie had stress cracks, then the second 100 I received last week had issues with the NRV pip, then when I got the fount for that one pressurized, it had leaks out of the top bung. From what my old eyes could tell, ended up with two or three leaks, not sure the threads on the valve that screwed into the fount needed sealing, but ended up soldering around both the bung and the threads that stuck out after that nut was screwed down to make a seal. Follow? See pic of cracked fount. Have never soldered threads before, at least intentionally. Hope both fixes hold, last resort would be to add a little Caswells to the fount and invert it to seal around the top after a lye soak. Found a proper pip in a Fettlebox cap kit for a Primus 71 stove to save the day and get the pump to seal.
    The last pic, does that needle valve behind the cap that is 180 degrees opposite the valve stem operate the match light/instant start feature? I notice air pressure is lost quickly until the valve is opened fully. After 10 minutes, I have to add some pumps. Also, notice the two different styles of 100's. Cool

    @hikerduane ,
    Very cool lanterns, I have Handi Swiftlite v1, when back in the day were a copy of the agm 100, my Handi has the agm burner set up, the fuel cap and pump are the same, the pricker lever the same, and the tank is very similar,
    I have threads to it in the lantern gallery, it may help you out with some alternatives

    Thank you, didn't know, but I see those are made in Aussieland. I've been looking at Coleman 327's and a couple AGM models, but just hate to put more money into these projects unless I could just acquire founts. I have two versions of the AGM 100.

    Had a CCS member offer to solder for me, so will send off on Friday. I'd only fix it to the point of unfixable. Will watch for a fount of any kind for my other AGM lantern.

    Except for these leaks and a few cracked founts, the AGM lanterns are pretty neat.
    Going round and round with my Coleman 228B leaking at the valve stem. Either leaks a little when running, or not until it is shut off, using the used valve stem I just found on the bay. Guess I'll have to release pressure when shutting off. Even added some packing.

    I have heard that AGM., lantern tanks are prone to stress cracking; I only have one AGM., lantern and currently the tank is okay and the link below shows that lantern.

    I have half a dozen or so now at least. Two cracked founts now with the first AGM 100. I Sealed the first fount on another model then sent it off to a party to play with and see how the sealant held up.
