I have just started dismantling and cleaning what I was led to believe was a Vapalux 300 lamp. However, it may be that the font is the design associated with the E41. Could someone please clarify for me.
    Do I have a bitsa?
    Many thanks

Not a bitsa, the font is correct for a Vapalux 300.

Have a look in the Lamp Reference Gallery to see examples of Vapalux and Bialaddin lanterns and lamps.

Thanks Henry/Paul. Glad that's cleared up!

Incidentally the bottom of the font is painted in what is possibly Rapidal Grey and might indicate that it was a services lamp but there are no date or arrow markings on the other parts so perhaps the font is an ex services E41 and the rest are from a civvy 300. The vaporiser has the patent number marked vertically.
