Seems the tank leaks at 2 spots minimum.... another challenge on the 220E....

Where is it leaking? If it is from rust in the base plate, get rid of the fount. 220E founts are readily available cheaply.

No. Base plate is ok. Its on the side.
3 soldered. Another 3 micro spots identified.
Generator was clogged too. Cleaned. Now lantern is much brighter.
    Added a preheat serpent.

Again I'd replace the fount. If those leaks were caused by rust there will be others waiting to break through. 220 founts can be had far to cheaply to risk a compromised fount. If you are burning Coleman Fuel or the equivalent in that lantern there is no need for a pre-heat mechanism. Light according to the instructions and it will work fine. Open valve 1/4 turn, light, when mantles burn brightly open valve all the way.

Ok, did some inner tank inspection by endoscope camera. Several small rust spots. Even on the pump tube, which is worse. Because can't be soldered, in case it would leak. ( Which it currently not yet does)

But as recommended for volatile flammable liquids, i swapped the tank.
For security , while burn gasoline.

I'm not quite satified with orientation of frame handle and pricker after assembly.
Bit un-handy. But with these coleman conical threads.....
Added a small extension by aluminium tube to the pick up tube. So lantern will not leave 6mm Gasoline unburned in tank bottom, but burn it all till run dry.

Almost no smell during operation. Gentle hiss. Light at estimated 250cp...

Your lantern looks good and and runs very well. Well done mate.
The extension to the fuel pickup tube will do as you say but it may pickup any water condensation from moisture in the air being pumped in and also any small particles residing in the fount as well.
    Just a thought.
    Enjoy
    Pete
