Waiting for Godot, or a Canada Coleman 335 after 4 months

Sometimes i wonder what parcel service business is about.
22.7. a parcel was shipped from Canada by Canada Post.
Full and exact to the day 4 (four) months later on
22.11. the parcel was delivered by DHL to my home in Germany.
Parcel untouched, unopened, no customs charge. ???

What the heck did they do about this ??
Did they ship it via a sail yacht across the Atlantic ??
Or a detour bypass the ISS ??
Engaged smugglers to bring it cross the borders??

Ok. After some minor fettling and optimizations, it now runs bright as hell.

And i also want to thank the fellow collector from this forum, who offered it to me, and was patient enough to believe in final delivery.
Next time i will pay the extra to get it delivered in days, instead of months....

 

I too wonder at the Postal service. Still a good lantern and worth the wait.

I think that the 335 is a really good lantern, and yours is a very fine example. It seems that all postal services are a bit of a lottery these days
