Owlite

I have had this for a while and thought I would give it a go to see the results!
Not much life left in the stuff but still interesting to see the comparison

My tin is a solid lump, dampness must have got in (or its not owlite in it anymore....).

I had a packet of Owlite turn up with a lamp some time ago. Have a look here:

I think if you get some hexamine tablets and grind them up you will have Owlite..
When I was in the scouts we used to use MOD surplus hex blocks for pre-heating primus stoves.

 

Thanks for that I did light it and the results weren’t that impressive but I suppose over the years it has lost a lot of whatever the material was, it seemed to burn like a fire lighter and burn away quite quickly, I do have a video but haven’t been able to post it on here‍♂️
