I got my hands on this Optimus 300 The other day. From What I read online, it could be from The 1930’s og 40’s. It needed some care. I dismanteled the whole thing, washed every part, removed rust and corrotion as well as I could. Some of the gascets were replaced (The fuel cap and The fuel level indicator). New pump leather, cleaning needle and nipple. It got a few rounds with Autosol, and it works fine, and doesn’t look too shabby.
I would say it is more from the mid 1940s. It is the first variation where the stamping on the tank is all in one line, but it is still using some parts from the previous variation (globe cage, wheel and maybe others).
