… Something I’ve been avoiding for ages as it is obviously a never ending task. There is both method and madness. Many more hours to go. Cheers Tony
I have pretty well stopped acquiring more lanterns. Lack of room. Yours is a well rounded collection.
Well, I've got a bit of (self-diagnosed) OCD and to stop me going mad I'd have put the tallest table lamp in the middle of the top shelf and had the rest symmetrical either side with the shortest ones at the ends. But a cracking display by anyone's standard!
I was going by age, left to right; and in clusters of model and brand (horizontal and vertical); but the odd exception to fill a gap. I am off to find good shelving for more! Cheers Tony
Hi Tony, I was wondering if you know anything about the white shade that is sitting on it's own in the last picture I.e. maker and age as i have one identical. Ps nice collection. Regards Ian.
Ian I’m far from a reliable witness when it comes to the arcane world of Coleman shades, but I think this is an “Opal 329” shade. Thanks for pointing it out. Now I know what lamp to put it on! Cheers Tony @podbros
Thanks Tony, I've had it sitting on a Coleman 158 for a while now ,it looks very nice, it was sold to me as an Aladdin shade but I couldn't find any Aladdin catalogues showing it. Regards Ian.
A fine collection, good luck with the quest for shelving, I have similar problems with storage. James
