    Hi all,

This is an odd beast, an unknown twin mantle alcohol lamp.
A quick glance of this lamp could make you believe it is a ordinary twin mantle
pressure lamp. Examining it a bit further you surprisingly end up with
a wick fed burner lamp with a small round wick auxiliary burner. The jet orifice size indicates
alcohol as fuel. The auxiliary burner has a duel function, pre heating and it also works like a complimentary burner/generator heater.
I think the vertical burner extension is essential for this burner setup, as it works for pre heating and also for conserving heat to the burner/jet throughout the burning process.

Amazingly good lighting output, more or less as an ordinary twin mantle pressure lamp.
At least around 200 CP, is my estimate.

This lamp came from Spain and may be of Spanish origin (or French).
On top of the aluminium mixing chamber some blurry words are stamped ....
    INCANDESCENT ?????
    E G
    PATENTE ?????
I made a lot of patent searches to find a patent for this lamp, but came up empty.
    Anyone?

    OMG.
    Unbelievable extravaganza.
You surprise us over and over again.

Has some similarity to Tito Landi lamps.

    That is really different!

Can I ask is the preheat time similar for other lamps?
What kind of age do you think this special lamp has ?

    Thank you for showing

ps have you tried a glass shade at all??

I think pre heating is about the same. It is a bit quicker with alcohol as the fuel source.
The lamp was probably made in the 1920-30,s; maybe also a bit later.
The round aluminium mixing chamber is the rest for the metal shade. You would probably need
a shade carrier for a glass shade. Attached the lamp with an old ribbed opal shade!
