    This is the pic of it as received. We'll see how the thing cleans up.

    Are you sure this is a KeroPet? Looks like a SwiftLite to me. What's the burner like with the hood off?

    May be an amalgamation of different lantern parts. The font and hood look Handi but the burner and gallery are different. The collar seems to have different holes to mine.

    Unless it is a model I am not familiar with.

    Handi SwiftLite, I think.

    Cheers

    The brass plate on it clearly says:
    HANDI KERO-PET. I'll take shots with the 'top' off.

    That certainly looks like a SwiftLite to me. The second version with the same tank as a KeroPet. If there is a label on the collar with KeroPet on it, it might have been built up from parts at some stage or it might be from the changeover period in the factory from the SwiftLite to the KeroPet. Is it possible to get a photo of the label?

    All the parts look correct for the later SwiftLite, but I haven't seen that 'bracket thing' on the preheater cup before. Could we get a close up of that too please?

    On an unrelated topic. What's the bike in the background? Looks interesting. :)

    @Julian Whittaker
    Very cool swiftlite v2. Light green hood
    AGM burner, the small perforated collar the badge is more than likely riveted on. Alloy meth bowl, the hood has a square/rectangle hole the hood bolt screws into burner top
    Hours of fun, happy fettle
    Do you have a bale

    Thought it looked like a BSA. Have a couple myself, but both A65s.

    It's a bit hard to tell what the handle is like in the first photo, but I suspect it is just made from fencing wire. It's at least not the SwiftLite shape.

    Pretty sure the bail is original - it looks like it anyway. I'll photo the detail parts soon.

    Is there any definitive pictorial guide for the various PARTS of lamps? I've seen some parts given different names.

    Thinking about the handle, it's quite possible that they actually went over to the KeroPet shape before the actual release of the KeroPet lamp. My version 2 SwiftLite (here) has a KeroPet style handle, except that the ends are only about 5mm long. Just enough to fit in the hood.

    The handle certainly looks jig-bent. Here the lamp is in bits.

    I agree that the handle looks factory made, I just don't know if it was the Handi factory that made it.

    The KeroPet label on the collar is weird. I can't explain it. Could be from the changeover period.

    Just for info Tony, I have not seen a steel tank on a Handi yet. Either SwiftLite or KeroPet. Of course, that is no guarantee that they don't exist. :)

    @Nils Stephenson

    I can confirm, without doubt, they do exist. Handi tank with SwiftLite top. I’m working on it now.

    Cheers

    @Julian Whittaker

    Hello Julian

    Your lantern is the first model Kero-Pet made so the collar is correct.

    The handle is wrong on your IMG20250703130939.jpg lantern.

    Both lanterns I show here are the first model Kero-Pet lanterns made using old stock Swiftlite burners.

    Cheers Mark.
