Hello, just one question about a 992. I have one waiting for renovation, the globe is cracked, so no big hurry. But I have a problem lifting the metal base between the tank and the globe. I removed the nut in the middle, removed the knob to lift the cleaning needle but find it impossible to lift the metal base over the screw standing up in the middle of the tank. On the same time I cannot reach the nut to remove whole rod either. Hope I made myself clear. Regards, Ton.
The plate being held down by the central nut comes out of the collar. It has to come out first before the collar can come off.
Now I have finished mine, no big problems, she is going very silent and without any smell. One thing though, even I am human, showing the best side of the lamp. On the other side is a dent in the tank and there is a crack in the glass. But I am happy with it! Regards, Ton.
