Thank you guys and thank you for the videos I know how they work. But I still like watching stuff like that even with things I thought I knew everything about I'm still learning . But I found one more and I took pictures of 3 more of the indoor kind I have. I'll post the smaller ones that look cheap and kinda look like repops to sell to people for the look. So I'm glad to keep finding them. I'm hoping there's more the further I go through the basement it's just so much that I only spend a hour at a time over there. I grew up in that house and now that my dad messed with the bathrooms and master bedroom to redo them the place makes me feel nasty cause he took that old drywall down in some spots and it's original drywall from 1937 when the house was built. God I hate that old insulation from then!!! Also found this cool chess set that I couldn't ever beat and my dad couldn't either. I'm not sure if it's from the 80s or 70s I just know you can only end in a stalemate. It's all wood the chessboard and the peaces but it has older electronics built in it. I guess it was made for grandmasters at chess..and the vw parts I know most of the parts there mostly 1.6,1.8 gad and Diesel engine parts but the thing is alot of what's left is brand new in the box like he bought them to put his own new engine together.
Thank you Julian Whittaker here's the old fountain pens I found. There's just something about old fountain pens that I find so nice when I write with them I'm not a good speller so I do more reading then I ever do writing cause I have A.D.D. and Dyslexia so I always had a hard time in school when they made me write. I either go way too deep into something or I don't write much cause I feel like people don't wanna read my rantings lol
I admire you for rediscovering all these old things of your dad's. - Goodonya! Advice from an ol' bloke... The REAL value in what you do, is not the end result, it's the actual DOING that is it's own reward. So keep at it mate!
Well, that wick is from a lamp which is not shown in any of your images to date. As you hold it in the image, you are actually holding it upside down. The split end goes into a fount of a paraffin (kerosene) lamp and the full circle end goes up into a circular burner of the Kosmos or Matador type. This is a B & H wick lamp: The chimney is not quite the right one, being a little too long in the lower portion below the 'bulge'.
