Hi all, On our National Day I bid you my latest restoration, a French old lady; the Lilor wall lamp (No.1955). This lamp first appeared in the 1925 Lilor catalogue. The lamp is equipped with the “Bec Lor” burner head, as were many of the Lilor lamps in the 20,s, and is gasoline fed with a 150 CP light output. My feeling is that the French lamp burners are a bit under rated CP wise. I fitted this one with a Primus 250 CP mantle on a ceramic bayonet holder and it filled it up easily with a bright light, even at a low pressure. /Conny
Shame on you Conny for posting a French lamp on our very national day! It should be a Lux or Aladdin. Or atleast a Primus. Jokes aside... you got a wonderful lamp there. And you've done a fantastic work as usual in restoring it. Well done!
Beautiful lamp Conny. Wish I could find one like that here-abouts. Thank you for showing it to us. All the best - Steve.
Thanks guys! On a day like this I had anticipated a 1000 CP Autolux in full swing , but the mantle is hard to find, isn’t it Christer? Perhaps you can fire her up when the Swedes wins the final of the European Football Championship! /Conny
