The 1011 is one of three heaters offered by Primus at the time. Basically, all three models had the same burner but different sized tanks. The 1011 has the middle size tank at 1.75 litres. The burner is almost identcal to the one used on the 1015 lamp. It has a different flame spreader, a longer riser tube and a metal mesh 'mantle'. The heaters could be ordered in four different variations. /1 - nickel plated tank with nickel plated brass reflector. /2 - nickel plated tank with polished aluminium reflector. /3 - nickel plated tank with polished copper reflector. /4 - polished brass tank with polished brass reflector. This 1011 is the /2 version and is from 1934 (Y 11).
@Nils Stephenson the tank on this one looks similar to the tank on Primus 158. Actually almost entire heater except for the burner looks like 158. It has the place for holding arm to? Is it so? Cheers, Francisc
There are a lot of similarities between the 1011 and the 158. The tank is the same size and the handle is the same. The reflector has the same size but with a different cut out. The reflector bracket is the same, but it doesn't have the mounting slot for the 158 arm. There might have been some overlap, but I expect that the 158 replaced the 1011 in the model line-up.
