Hi there all. I am slowly nudging my way towards fettling a Tilley 246 Guardsman and have just realised that both of the vapourisers I have been given are devoid of prickers. I have cleaned them out using the heat and quench method on here and a lot of stuff has come out. The prickers seem to be nearly impossible to trace and I am wondering if someone on this fabulous forum has a couple of prickers that will do the job. The shaft is 5 inches long. If renumeration is required of course I would reimburse the costs. My second question is this. I am a subscriber on here and am unable to find the method of PM....ing another member. Anyone able to tell me how to do it? Thanks in advance and hope my request will bear fruit. Many thanks. Terry
Hi Terry I would message or better still phone the Tilleyman.. you will find him on ebay if you search for anything‘Tilley’.. he has new pricker wires for both standard vapourisers Cheers

Hello MG> No I have not sourced any prickers. Equally I cannot find a vapouriser for each, They have enlarged holes on the ones I have, It is a critical party and I am snookered.
PM me your address and i will send you a couple of used vaporisers with prickers, they may or may not work as i haven't got round to testing them.
