    Simpathetic electric conversion, only part that is compromised is the filler cap, the spirit cup was U/S (leaked). So the lamp could be converted back to paraffin easily with a new filler cap and spirit cup. I wanted a lamp that I could use daily.
    I used greaseproof paper on the inside of the glass as a diffuser.

    Not bad at all, i've got a few scrap lamps in the garage so i could maybe do something similar if i can afford the electric to run it in the future! :lol:

    Fitted with TCP LED Globe 40W equivalent warm white running at 5.1watts (homebase), you could run that from a solar panel and a battery for those off grid moments.

    Anyway what's that to do with the price of paraffin :)
