Junk shop find!

I found an 2-300 Astramax over the weekend. Can anyone give me an approximate manufacture date ?

 

Somewhere in the late 1940s. Probably around 1946 to 1948. Where is the logo positioned on the collar and what does the top of the tank look like inside the collar?

 

A fine fettling project.

 

A good looking lantern! Looking forward to seeing her burning.

 

Here’s a photo of the collar I didn’t get a picture to the top of the tank as I already fettled her up brought it back to life

 

It did clean up well, congratulations.
