    Hello all
I hope you are all doing well and managed to keep your distance from this damn virus.
I have been asked questions twice about the Magnaphare brand . It is a Swiss brand. This floodlight looks a lot like Standard in my opinion. Who knows ?
here are some pictures : (a floodlight and an hanging lamp)

Well, no. Never heard of it.
I checked espacenet, dpma and swissreg, no matches.
wipo suggests "magnapharm" but also has no information on MAGNAPHARE
I checked the archives of eth-Zurich, also no matches.

Jörg, who has quite a big collection of trade marks and design registrations mentioned the name plate which is attached to the lamp by screws (instead of rivets) and the hanging lamp door which seems to have had a larger plate attached (when you look at the holes for the rivets).
So may be the plates were added some other place and time than at the factory.

thank you @Erik Leger for this research
Yes one of the plates is riveted and seems smaller than the original. Either it was moved or it was bigger. the other plate is screwed
These lamps looks like the models at Standard,
    I assume a later production?

Not a brand I know either. They do seem to be Standard lamps from the Swiss factory. Rero fitted labels are a worry as they may not be the correct brand or model numbers for the lamps. ::Neil::

hum, that makes us three lamps (with that of the Leo's friend) which are stamped "Magnaphare".
it's hard to think it's not at least a reseller
In addition, they carry a number, which seems to indicate that there was a full range of lamps for sale by Magnaphare.

@leo, is it possible to ask for a picture to your friend ?

Wow @Ole Larson , never used, you are a lucky man.
It looks as if magnaflux had a deal with the Swiss Standard company.

The mantle is so long while it is stretched out by hanging there all those years without getting burned.

Where did you find it? or do you know its origin?

    Hello Wim,

This lamp was from France. Must have been put away in warm heated storage a long time.
Soaking the leather cup on the pump in Neatsfoot oil to see if I can get pressure.

    kindly,

    Brian

    Another Magnaphare.
I saw them on eBay.The auction has ended.
    It's not mine.

I think the place of manufacture was Zürich in Switzerland.

it has been a long time but I finished it
I found another example of this projector (will be for sale some days )
They were often installed at the front of the barges circulating on the canals through France and allowed to sail at night

I like the design of it all.. the way the reflector and glass can be easily removed to gain access is a great idea

And it looks great too :-)
