Hi All, Looking at old documents I discover a lamp on the paper that has been on a shelf for years. I always thought someone tinkered with something weird to make a lamp. This is not restored. It is a Leon Guilbert office model N°203 incandescent lamp that runs on gasoline. This lamp seems quite old because it has no markings. I also present to you another incandescent nozzle by the Léon Guilbert gasoline engraved LG. Thank you for sharing. Regards, Titoo.
The picture of the document is taken from my Léon Guilbert catalog of 14 pages "catalogue N°9". The production activity of lighting fixtures by mineral essence at Léon Guilbert only lasted from 1905 to 1909, then this lighting department was sold to Juchat & Corre on August 10, 1909.
A very nice burner and lamp, Patrick! You are very lucky to have the complete "burner/lamp font" package, as the connector for this L G burner is very special. I have two L G burners but unfortunately not found any suitable lamp for them. As you well know this L G burner was present on a variety of lamps, most of them were hollow wire lighting lamps. Leon Guilbert had several patents, but for this L G burner I can't find any in his name. There are a couple of French patents with this design, maybe the one of Otto Herberg is the right one? However Leon Guilbert had a patent for an inverted burner which also got an inverted name, Bec G L. This burner was also used in a similar way for a number of lamps, mostly hollow wire lamps. In the 1920,s the successor company of Leon Guilbert, Juchat & Corre, also made a couple of "real" pressure lamps with that G L burner head. /Conny Bec L G instructions and parts list A possible Otto Herberg L G burner patent Leon Guilbert Bec G L burner patent G L burner hw and pressure lamps
